by The Office User on May.28, 2011, under Excel
One of the cool new features of Microsoft Office 2010 is that the Options dialog now allows the user to quickly and easily customize the Ribbon Settings for any of the Office applications. This also means that enabling the Developer Ribbon in Microsoft Excel 2010 is slightly different than previous versions. To enable the Developer Ribbon in Microsoft Excel 2010, complete the following steps.
Step-by-Step
- Open the Microsoft Excel from the Windows Start Menu.
- Once Microsoft Excel 2010 has been opened, click on the File Tab on the Ribbon to open the Excel 2010 Backstage.
- Once the Backstage is opened, click on the Options Button on the bottom left corner of the Excel 2010 window. This will open the Excel Options dialog
- On the Excel Options dialog, click on the Customize Ribbon Tab on the Left Side of the Excel Options dialog. This will show the Customize Ribbon options on the right side of the dialog.
- Once the Customize Ribbon options are shown on the right side of the Excel Options dialog, Check the CheckBox next to the Developer item in the list. Once Developer item is Checked, click the OK Button on the dialog to Save the changes.
- You will be taken back to the Excel 2010 main window and the Developer Ribbon Tab will now be shown.
Enabling the Developer Ribbon Tab in Microsoft Excel 2010 is really just that easy. And the beautiful thing is that the Excel Options dialog makes it extremely quick and easy to enable or disable any of the standard Excel Ribbon Tabs in Excel 2010!
